Your wife's is probably stock. I have the Screamin' eagle pistons, high compression heads etc. etc. and reprogrammed computer upgrades. So. if i ride nice I get in the 40's
I had a 1200 Sport that had a mild street cam and 9.5/1 compression, V&H Straight Shots all fed by a Mikuni 42 and I did quite a bit better than 100 mi. on a tank and had the 3.5 gal. peanut tank.

I got between 45 and 50 MPG no matter how I rode my Sporty. Typically around 49.XXX MPG unless I got some bad gas.

Ok, I've used an excel spread sheet and tracking mileage really close. I even took a trip to Nashville & back so I got hoghway. It came out to 41 mpg.
I stop & fill up whent he little idiot light somes on (for us Pollocks) at around 120 miles and it takes about 3 gallons. The manual says I have 4.5?
Next step: tune up & oil change, but I don't expect much.
