Lunch time accident scene
I was working from home today and rode up to the hardware store at lunch time.
On the way back, two miles from the house, I pulled over to assist a motorcycle accident that had just occured. The guy got rear ended at 30 MPH by a SUV. She kept driving a block or two and then turned around and returned to the scene of the accident. His vest was ripped off and he had road rash on his chest, cut on his head, bloody nose, and a dislocated shoulder. First time I had to whip out my accident scene management first aid kit. Found out I need to get XL latex gloves so I can get them on faster. Wasn't much I really had to do, and an off duty paramedic was there 2 minutes later with his own medical kit. At first I thought the guy had flew down into the drainage ditch. That would have been nasty. He was laying just to the left of the dirt you see. I didn't take a pic of him out of respect.

I hope that he is ok, hope if it ever happens to me someone like you steps up to the plate, we need to make a rocker for a guy like you, btw I have seen geezers kit, its pretty impressive and I bet he also knows how to use it.

I went straight into action without even thinking about it. I wasn't flabbergasted and went straight to work.
Not saying the adrenaline was kickin' though! Hoping I won't have to use my kit again. kinda makes me want to buy another one for my car trunk...

Glad he 'walked' away from it.
I think maybe we should all think about taking a First-Aid course so we are 'in the know' and can help if/when something like this occurs. Heck, I bet Geezer's even qualified to teach it. Lady kept driving for 'a block or two' before turning around?  ...maybe her conscious set it and she knew that regardless of the consequences, she had to do 'the right thing.' ...lastly, did you let him hold 'chickie' to give him a small measure of confort? ...it would have been the least you could do.
