I ended up taking mine off. Had problems with fitment in the beginning, and the bike always had stack fire popping until fully warmed up. As soon as I put my K&N back on, the popping went away. It's up for sale!

Have two installed, not a lot of difference in the valley. The EG stroker likes it better, and both run better pulling high altitude passes, especially the stock Evo (mostly stock - Mikuni HSR45 and pipes). I didn't ride a heck of a lot last year due to workload, hopefully will get out a bit more this year and have a better feel.

I've been running the extended Exotx filter for about 1.5 years on a Dougherty backing plate. It was my bike that Doc originally tested the Exotx against the Dougherty and Zippers Max Flow. I run the filter uncovered. Ridden in torrential rain, engine kept on running. I used nylon washers to extend the stantion height.

when I Googled Exotx this site came near the top. It sounded pretty good until I got to this last page. So, is the advice now "don't bother"?
