Thanks folks. The d00f prayers obviously helped. Once they diagnosed him correctly, the first treatment helped. He responded well, and the docs say he turned the corner and it is no longer a 911 situation.
Bad news is that I got that news well on the other side of Albuquerque. I want sure what to do, but finally, after taking to Kat, decided to return to the trip. So, turn around and go back to the grand canyon. Of course, it decided to rain for the majority of the 450 miles back. I spent the night at a hotel mainly because I was so beat after an entire day of riding full blast and soaking wet. I was able to catch up with the rest of the group this morning. So, we gawked at the grand canyon a while before heading on out to Zion National Park. I got a little you close to the edge and almost died.  We dodged a few showers on the way and set up camp. Tomorrow we go hiking somewhere. Some cool slot canyon someone who knows someone knew about. Well give our butts a rest.

North rim of the canyon? Slot canyons in Zion can fill quickly with water, so watch the forecast for the head of the canyon.
