Actually I've been thinking about that very ride down to Steubenville as soon as I got a day nice enough to do it.
Of the top of my head it's probably a 3-31/2 hour one way ride for me but I could be easily convinced to turn it into an over nighter. |

Not sure what way you'd be going Stoney but if it takes you anywhere near where I'm at we could hook up and ride the rest of the way together.

The best route for me would be to cross the border at Buffalo, then ride across to Erie, Pa, then go down 79 and cut across at Pittsburgh. I could always ride across to Cleveland and down... where abouts are ya?

If you are on 90 you'd want to go on by route 79 and continue on into Ohio. I'm the first exit in Ohio which just happens to be route 7 and we could ride 7 most....if not all the way down.

Hmmmm...... this could work out, depending on when..... who else is interested? What dates would be open?

Stoney, my route takes me past Pittsburgh if you'd want to meet up.
I was thinking of doing it this coming Saturday if it's not raining.

Well riding on weekends is what I do so I am open most weekends. Just waiting for warmer weather. Whenever is good for anyone else that would like to go will more then likely be good for me.

7 goes into and out of towns all the way and Youngstown would really slow you down. 11 to Columbiana and then 7 the rest of the way or stay on 11 to East Liverpool and then 7 to Stuebenville. It's been a few years since I was up that way.

If the weather forecast is correct, it will be a balmy 38* here next weekend. I was thinking of warmer weather before I head down.... mebbe see who's interested, and make it a weekend run.

I was looking at that on the map, and I agree that it would be wise to bypass Youngstown. Thanks for the tip, Jim.

I'm thinking a weekend run...maybe a little later on in the month. Damn weatherman lying to me about this global warming says it isn't supposed to be so much as tickling 60* here for a while...unless it is warmer over that way. Remember, I don't have one of those fancy baggers, but I'll still ride if'n I gots to.

I agree. These short rides have scratched my itch for just getting on 2 wheels again, but I really need to get out and stretch my legs. I've been kicking around a ride to eastern OH for a while now. Just need the temp to help me out a bit.
Either that or break down and buy some chaps.

Chaps or overpants.
I did 400 miles yesterday and wanted to go more. I'm ready to go!
