Check your crank lately?
Should I even tell you about the belts?

Now there is a need which needs to be met. A superior belt design that will take what a built 143 can give out. Don't most change to chain final drive for higher hp motors? If only....

Don't they offer a heavier belt for sidecar setups?

Yes for your bike (and Jim's), no for the '09+
Also, as a side note: Never buy any aftermarket drive belt unless it's made by Gates... Gates also makes the factory belts.

I was working at Gates Rubber Denver 1978.
One night me and my partner wandered into the R&D section of the plant. They had a Harley on a dyno they were testing early belt designs on. Found out we weren't supposed to be there / see that.

Yeah, the HD belts are clearly made by Gates, but they are not marked except as "Harley". If you google around in old magazine archives you'll find the proof, but for some reason the connection is *very hush-hush.
The non-Gates belts from BDS, Falcon, Dayco, garbage in my experience. I'll only buy Gates or HD. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

I'll keep that in mind.
I inspected my belt this weekend and it seems to be in real good shape so far.
