Touring Drive Belt Information?

Looking for information on the supposed stronger drive belt for the HD's.

It is supposed to be a special belt used for sidecar applications.

Is it really stronger than the standard belt and who is the manufacture?

Yeah, i have had great luck with them. Especially on the 97-03 years, for some reason those belts seem to break a lot more that later years. Dont know if its because of mis-adjustment or the composition of the belt.

The CVO belt on the later models come stock on the S/E models and seems to hold up quite well.

I am almost positive Gates makes them.

DO NOT BUY PANTHER!!!

Does a anything have to be changed to use these belts? Spacers, sprockets? Or is it the same size as stock? I am guessing same size, but curious.

Same as stock...Just did one 2 months ago.....it was an 01.

And as for the panthers.. Had a problem with them a while back. Belts were cut crooked. The werent running true and they popped the rings off the inner sproket. 2 panther belts, same results, H_D belt...happy.
