Putting a deposit down on a Street Glide
Taking advantage of the military program. Ordering an '08 Street Glide in Pewter Denim. Plan is to black out most of the chrome. Not all at once, but slowly.
Should deliver in June when I return from the sand. Just thought I would share....

There sharp bikes. Once you put the passing lamps, rear engine guard, tour pak, and a good seat, you will be set.
I couldn't go without passing lights, got 50s in mine. I miss them when they are burned out. Glas your getting a new bike. I think the FLHX look very sharp. But myself I would buy FLHT, put some progressives on it to lower it a after market stereo, and customize the rest. But who am I to say, said I would never buy a new HD, and I did, didn't want to wait. So far pretty dissapointed in the quality control. Hope what there saying about the junk cranks over at VTF is just internet hysteria. Its pisser you think your saving money by getting the stroked crank. I still haven't seen a 6 gallon tank yet. Sorry, enjoy the bike. |

I do like the improvements in the 07 over my 01. Easy reach kickstand, WTF took so long. two tripometers. Can check tranny level, easy pull clutch. You can add air without taking off bags, what a stupid design that was. But know only one valve.
6 speed is a waste of money for most. But some people just feel compelled to use it. I got to say I am fairly happy with power. IMO you do got keep it around 3k to use it. Others disagree. |
