I can't, offhand, see how one can meet SG and SL.

You're supposed to change it in a motel parking lot halfway through your trip, then wash the parking lot down with the fresh oil you pour in before remembering to reinstall the drain plug.

You sound like Bob, the red Wing. Started spacing when we hit the 3000 mark about dirty oil. I normally change it every 3000. On long trips not. I'll know if it was a good decision when I get the analysis back but I've done it many times before without issue. Only had to top off once with 3 oz. Not bad for 7k. Looked really good on drain, filter looked good, no fuzz on plug I never forget my drainplug, and the only thing I have ever spilled in the motel lot is beer.

There is the time after I primed the filter I knocked the bottle, sans cap, over in the parking lot.

Thus the need to buy another bundle of rags...

Rocker end play is .020 on both front. I think I see some witness marks on the rocker cover. Trying to measure and confirm. Or maybe I'll just clearance while I have it off.

If you didn't switch cams how would you suddenly have contact with the rocker cover? Pushrods too long?
