Stator and Regulator........
took a vacation today.
10 days to get it back from the dealer. ESP just paid for itself.

Had to order the stator...and they are backed up in the service department.
While I was waiting for the diagnosis, (about an hour), the bell rang twice signifying a sale. They really move motorcycles in that place.

My junk was eight when the stator and reg went. close to $400. for parts. getting familiar with my machine, priceless!

Stator and VR fried on the RK in Junction; Jack's cycle in Ingram fixed it and I think the cost was 735?

Seems to be quite a common occurrence of late. I lost a stator in early April, just before heading to Florida. KenR had a stator replaced 2 weeks ago (but it is debatable whether that was the root cause of his problem). Couple others I know too. Now this.
I may go into the stator business.

Just to to clarify a couple of items.
I'm 64 and have the ability and tools to do standard maintenance on the bike. The stator and regulator are going to cost me $50.00 under the ESP. (The reason I bought it). I live in Florida and have the entire year to ride even though I have to leave it on life support several months out of the year due to my work. So it's all good for me. The "office" in my house is under a renovation and I can spend time there for the next week and Val is thrilled at what got accomplished yesterday. (Happy Wife = Happy Life). AND...I may just slip in to Maggi Valley next month. Won't know until the last minute, but the schedule is starting to look favorable. Ride safe .....hope to see you soon.

Well it seems that Albuquerque won't happen, they are using their own staff to qualify the system. I'm OK with that, could have used the shekels, but not a devastating turn of events.
I still may have a return trip to Perth this month. The customer is naive about Eutelsat Testing for station qualification...but that is just something that will have to work itself out. They want the station qualified by the end of the month..we'll just see. GOOD NEWS... Space Coast Harley called while I was at the store and the bike is ready. I'll pick it up after Val gets home.
