Just a snippit of the lyrics to Johnny Cash's "One Piece at a Time" multiyear Cadillac. The transmission didn't fit so they drilled it out and used an adaptor kit.

When I went to Horney Toad to pick up my bike, I asked about the drilling positions of the two racks. They told me that both use the same templates with the arrows showing the same drilling positions. The only difference is that one hole has to be bigger to accomodate the wiring.

Wanna see my bag?

Here's the solution to my rack concern. It's the Dowco Iron Rider Main Bag. I think it fits well and seems to be a quality item. It comes with all the mounting straps, carrying handle, shoulder strap and rain cover.

I likey.

It has straps on the back so to work with a sissy bar/rack combo also.

It looks good Dan. Bet you can get more than 25 lbs into that bag though.

Hopefully someone will be able to determine if a Dekker Supreme will fit on that rack.

I didn't try that on. The first bag I saw was the Iron Rider so after I tried it on and it fit I knew it was a winner. Shopping sux so that ended the test fitting. But I did take a look at the Supreme and it is rather big. I'd be surprised if it fit.

I measured my rack's useable depth front to rear at almost 10". The specs for the bag says 17' X 12". I measured and it is 12" deep. But as you can see there is a radius alnog the front and rear edges of the bag. I think that's what allows it to fit nicely.

But the Dekker is 14.5 deep. I don't think even if it has radiused edges it would fit.
