Friday the 13th ride
Every Friday the 13th, the small town of Port Dover Ontario (population 6,387), gets invaded by hordes of bikers for the weekend. It is the largest gathering of bikers in Canada. Me and G-ma decided to head there yesterday, as the weather was perfect. As we got closer, we started to see more and more bikes, until it became a motorcycle traffic jam......
 Everywhere you looked, bikes were parked, or moving in and out of parking lots....   We arrived at the edge of town...... finally.......  Once in town, we looked for a parking spot. It wasn't easy.....   We finally found a spot and parked the bike, and bravely set out on foot to the main part of the town, where I took a pick of one of the local businesses...... nice name, dont'cha think?   And here's a few shots of the crowds that show up every time!     And a couple of shots of some of the scoots that were there......      By the time we decided to leave, the temps had risen to over 90* and we needed to get out of town and catch some wind. All told, we had a great time. The next event happens next September........ anybody wanna come up?

For a Friday the 13th ride, I would have expected to have the destination be Crystal Lake or Hell (Both can be found in Michigan).
Looks like a fun day except for the traffic jam in the heat.

Kind a like Lansdale Bike Night here. They block of Main St. for one mile and only bikes and pedestrians are permitted from late afternoon until 11:00 pm. They also have vendor tents, bike judging (various categories), a 'dyno drag race' trailer, food and bands. HERE are some pics from the 2011 Bike Night and a video
