New Seat on Fatboy
I got a Heritage Classic seat off ebay for my Fatboy and I love it.
More back support and way softer for me and a wider and thicker passenger pad for the wife. Just a thought for other Fatboy riders, might be cheaper than buying an after market saddle. I paid 175.00. |

So... You've got the big windshield... Saddle bags, Passing lights, and now the saddle... Note to FUTURE FatBoy owners: Just buy the Heritage up front, it's only $800 more, and will save you thousands in upgrading to Heritage parts.

Only 'cuz....
What's a FatBoy have to offer that a Heritage doesn't? There are preferences... I prefer spokes, for instance. If you prefer a solid rim, then that would be one thing...

If I had of bought a bike brand new I would have bought a Heritage.... but I saved thousands buying a Fatboy with only 5000 miles on it. I only paid 14000 for a bike that already had 4-5k in upgrades. So yes I am turning my Fatboy into what I wanted in the first place.

Please don't tell me you pissed away $175 for a stock seat Why do you think people replace stock seats? Why are you replacing yours? Also soft is the worse thing for seats. |

2. It's way more comfortable than the Fatboy seat. (2k on the new seat so far) 3. The passenger pad is way better for my wife who has had two back surgerys. 4. A Corbin seat is way more than $175. 5. It's my ride and I'll set it up how I see fit. The most important thing when you get something for your bike is that it works for you and you like it and you don't worry about what others think. |

I didn't like the solid wheels on windy days when I first got the bike. Now that I've put around 20k on the bike I don't even think about the wheels anymore. With that being said I would still like to put some billet wheels on it when I have some extra cash, just for looks not because I can't handle riding in the wind.

Ah, notice a common theme, with Harleys, people get rid of the stock seat. You were suckered like some rube off the turnip wagon. I would have guessed more like $50 for a stock seat. Either way, your not much better then you were.
I got an Ultra, touring bike and stock seat sucks, afte 50 miles. It was a good lesson for you, could have been worse. |

I have to disagree... I am way better off than I was before I now have over 3k miles on the new seat and have no thoughts of ever changing the seat. I like the looks of it and the comfort factor is so much better than the Fatboy seat. Also if you buy the seat from HD its $300 and I was watching them sell all day long on E-bay for what I paid. Don't be mad that I am happy with my purchase... I happen to like a stock seat I'm sorry you can't deal with that. |

I am glad you enjoy it. But IMO stock seats suck. I got an Ultra, most expensive bike they make and seat is soft.
I knew when you said how soft the seat you bought was, and how much you liked, you would be in trouble. Soft is not good. $175 for a stock take off seat is salty IMO. But I have never priced take off seats to much. I would have guessed $50. Either way enjoy. Thats what counts. If you ever do change your mind, I hope you admit. I hope some other poor soul doesn't read this thread. Ya I bitter. Last weeked order Corbin for 07, got a Mustang on my 01. |

If after 3,000 I still like the seat... WTF is going to change... and BTW I think the stock seat on an Ultra is the most amazingly comfortable seat I have ever sat on... and when I buy an Ultra I aint changing it out just to be cool. |

Why don't you just get a rock and bungie it to your bike and sit on it... Then you won't have to worry about sitting on something soft. and BTW I'm not into putting my butt on top of something HARD |
