I'm tired of pukin' oil !!!
Now that I have your attention... a little modification never hurts. My current bike has only puked oil from the air filter once in 10,500 mi. BUT I still don't like the idea of venting into the air cleaner, in part because it can add to additional carbon build-up and it just mucks up the air filter and causes the occasional "mess".
SO... I took my SE back plate and breather bolts and drilling and threading tools..and presto. I drilled out the breather bolts a sizer bigger, threaded the ends to block them off, added a hole to the shaft so oil can get out. Then took the backplate and added 1/8 x 5/16 brass barbed fittings to allow the oil to run to two 5/16 hoses which join with a 3/8 brass "T" and into another single 5/16 hose which is routed between the cylanders through the hole near the shifter/back of primary and finally to the atmosphere or a little junk filter if you wish. Very inexpensive and I think well worth the effort. Hope the pics help !

No
No...not at all. This just re-routes the excess oil "mist" from the breathers from the air cleaner assembly elsewhere. Its the way they used to be...

More pics
More... hard to get pics but I tried... you'll see the rear and front fittings with hoses running from them into a "T". From there a hose goes between the cylanders and away...

Nice job Bill. Been thinking about something like that too, but I don't have that big an issue with oil.

You can always point the discharge hose at the rear tire so you can do sweeet burnouts.

A great solution (and great pics!) to a common problem...

My carbed Road King was puking oil anytime I rode at hiway speeds for any length of time. I found if I leave the oil level a bit low, 1/2 qt. or so, it stops blowing out the air filter.

Where did you get the fittings? Are the brass fittings npt? That's what I'm running into. Plumbing or auto supply?

Yes they are brass. You should be able to get them at either place.
