I went to a senior citizens lunch at the synagogue the other day. I was born in 1948. At my table were 2 men wearing their WW2 veteran caps and one wearing a Korean veteran t-shirt. One of the WW2 guys also had Vietnam on his cap.

I was pretty bummed this morning to wake up and find no mention of the day in the paper except a sentence in the "On This Date" column and an obscure short article on the last page of the paper about a Pearl Harbor sailor being reinterred somewhere. That was it.
