OK Brainy ones...

The newer (2011) FLH frame baggers have some 4 pin (SPST) ISO 280 mini relays in the power distribution box (fuse / relay panel).

Being it appears to be a sealed relay it would be like an Omron G8W.

Now these things can be inserted 180 degrees either way.

Now does this make a difference?

In the old, Bosch relay parlance, terminal 30 (power) is diagonally across from terminal 87 (load) and the same goes for terminal 86 and 85 the circuit that energizes the pull in coil (electromagnet thingy).

The ones on the Harley are not numbered 30 / 87 / 85 / 86.

They are numbered 1/2/3/5.

OK, so I found this http://www.omron.com/ecb/products/pdf/en-g8va.pdf

It appears that pin(s) 5 is power(battery) and 3 is load, I.E. fuel pump.

So that is a better clue to how the darn things plug in, in the correct orientation.

So more checking and poking under the left side cover...

OK Brainy ones...

The diagram indicates a non-indexed design.... So yes, you could plug it in either way, no issue.

Neither the N/O contacts or the coil are polarity sensitive in this application.

Make sure and do not cross the streams, however. That would be bad. Very bad.
