How Fast Is Too Fast?

That wasn't too fast to ride; it was too fast to crash.
He had ridden faster previously. It was the crashing part.

That had to have been horrible to watch. I saw a rider go down at close to 200 mph. He didn't survive. God bless him and his family.

As noted, he had already gone faster. 311 mph to be precise in setting a record in 2011. I'm hoping to go back to Bonneville next year with the team I went with in 2011 in search of a few new class records.

I read this earlier this morning. My question:
If you've already broke 300 mph in a 1.5 mile track, what's the point of proving you can do it on a 1.0 mile track? Sad, but 300+ on a motorcycle.
