Airlines are stupid
Why don't they load planes back to front? Current system is just inept.

yup..
I recall from my military days that we could load 160 or so troops in a bus, plane, whatever..with our gear in just minutes.

Tsk. Are you suggesting that airlines should consider the convenience of their clients? That they should strive for efficiency and ease of travel? Next thing you know you'll be suggesting they don't routinely overbook flights.

Boeing bought Douglas, but they quit making the DC8 before that happened. And the stretched DC9 became the MD80 anyway. Plus, they make us do it in french now, so nobody really knows what anything is any more, including Hughes helicopters.
