More Power...

After 3 years, I finally put the CVO on the dyno. Been autotuning with the power vision the last 3 years. It's always ran decent, but recently I met a new friend we've been riding with, who has also by chance opened his own performance and tuning shop here in town.

Haven't been able to put any road time on it yet. Was hoping to do that today, but wet roads are not when I'd like to test it.....

Only change from stock is the Jackpot head pipe, CVO 2.0" baffles and the Andrews 57 cam.

That's more like I'd expect to see from a 110. Very nice curve, breaks 100 around 2500 and maintains 100 TQ all the way to 5,000 RPM.

Were the "as received" numbers with the 57 cam in there and self tuned?

If so, what did he change? I'm guessing timing.

Did he give you an AFR graph?

That's a pretty substantial difference just from a tune. You did autotune the VEs, right?

1. Yes
2. removed some timing
3. I didn't bring home a copyj, but it was way to rich in the cruising range.

No. One of the things I never got around to messing with.

Chad says this is typical of what he has seen from auto tuned bikes, and while they are good for maintaining a tune, he would never use one to build a tune.

He also believes the 2.0" cores are holding the top end back. While I'd like to make more changes, it's not going to happen right now..

See Ricky... Still haven't spent that 3k.

What were you auto tuning if you weren't tuning the VE's?

I wonder if the auto tune pro with the wide band sensors would make a difference

I'm not a tuning expert by no means. That's why I had and only used the wide band sensors from the start.

I'm confused (again). I know you've got the widebands with the AT Pro. You never did anything with the base tune provided from Dynojet?

I played around a little with the AFR here and there, but not much.

Like I said, I'm not a tuning pro. Bike was running decent, cooler, 38-42 mpg here.. 50 mpg out west riding two up with a heavy load and a economy tune I created based of some values Dippsy sent me.
