One Year Ago..........
I couldn't go to ES because my son had overdosed. We were very concerned and we almost lost him. He surrendered to the Program and I am pleased and grateful to say he just received his 1 year sobriety chip in AA. This year is so very different from last year. He is a happy, productive member of society today. He is now managing a sober-living facility in Kerrville, Texas. I am extremely grateful to God for this.
If there is ever anyone who needs to talk about a similar problem, please don't hesitate to call me.

Good for him Randy. I'm sure it took a lot of strength from him as well as the entire family to get through this trying time in his life. With a father like you Randy, He had some solid support. Good luck to you both Randy.

I truly appreciate the kind words. The reason I posted this is to let anyone going through a similar thing not to be discouraged. As long as there is breath in the body, there is Hope. There are also a lot of us around who have been in that shape and have found a way out. If anyone finds themselves in a similar situation, you don't have to be alone and feel like you can't talk to anyone about it. Please call. I know a little about these things.
