motherboard question
half of the speaker jack broke off in the sound port on my motherboard and I could not get it out so I bought a sound card which is probably better anyway. Do I have to disconnect somehow the sound chip of the motherboard when I install the sound card and how do I do that?

Thanx, y'all. I went into BIOS and turned off the sound, plugged in the new card, loaded the disc, updated, and it works just fine. I do believe the quality of sound out of my less than top line speakers is better.
