The rental bike might very well have problem that caused it to feel like it was going to slide out from under me, but the wind was just unbearable. It felt like I was standing in front of the exhaust fans in my parking garage. On the ride back to Phoenix, which we road for a solid 2 1/2 hours,of highway riding I was so ready to get off the bike. My headache and face was so sore from windburn.

Unless he was riding in parking lots, we'll probably never know.

Many have loved the road king for years. It's practically the same bike. So I can't really see why many wouldn't like the road glide.

with the exception of the hidious bug eyes and shark nose that only a one legged, snaggle toothed, pigeon toe'd, light weight, bald headed, raised by wolves, mother could love.

big difference, you have a big assed windshield on the RK, when I would take my shield off I would get all hell and turn around and put it on for the passenger.....

It's all in the ride and putting miles behind ya. I like the Road Kings allot.
But for putting miles behind you, and not having to put up with the wind
problems.... Road Glide for me, all the way :^)
take care,

Thanks for this Russ et al. My '08 stock RG never had the steering/stability issues described here, not even when trying to keep up with Mike on US 421.

Although the checkbook will be the final arbiter, trying to decide which way to go when I am finally able to buy the next ride. This info is appreciated.
