I have a few, picked up a Shield at a bargain basement tool man discount and swapped it with my son for my Dad's Model 38 back.
Swapped mine to a revolver, but it was still in my house before the unfortunate boating accident that claimed all of my firearms. I really don't carry the 9mms I have now, on occasion I will carry my LC9, but most of the time I carry my XDs .45. which is only minimally larger than the Ruger LC9 or the Shield: M&P 9 SHIELD 9mm: Barrel Length: 3.1”, Overall Length: 6.1", Height: 4.6" Weight: 20.8 oz, Thickness: .95" Springfield XDs .45: Barrel Length: 3.3”, Overall Length: 6.3", Height: 4.4" Weight: 21.5 oz, Thickness: .9" Ruger LC9 9mm: Barrel Length: 3.12”, Overall Length: 6", Height: 4.5" Weight: 17.1 oz, Thickness: .9" ....all else being the same, or close enough you will never notice on your belt... I'll carry the Lord's Caliber. Yes. But... mucho lesso expensiveo to shooto... Quote:

Sadly I cannot get my hands on a .45 ACP, shield, XDS(?), or the Springer compact with the exposed hammer...
None of them do micro stamping on expended casings. Like so many others do... LOL, LOL, LOL, LOL... What a crock of Shit! Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G891A using Tapatalk

You can probably buy a 24 shot revolver, since it doesn't take clips or expel bullets

I'm happy with my 9mm Shield. Cost was right and fits my hand well.

If it doesn't "expel" bullets, what good is it?

I have a good friend that bought a Kimber .45 Super Carry and wasn't happy with it. He ended up with a Kimber 380 and still has the .45, new in box, never fired.
Wants to let it go for $500.00. I told him to let me know when he was sure he wanted to get rid of it. I am Giddy....

I'm too late, as always but the Beretta is a favorite at the range. It fits my hand well and I like the accuracy. The Shield is good for concealment but less accurate and thus less fun when you're just having fun.
I want to try the G20 out next. |

I was working the shootin' counter at F&S in between jobs and it seemed like the Shield fit more hands comfortably than any other compact or even full size. The SD9 was probably the second mostest bestest fitting model and a lot of people really like how it shoots.

After trying all of the "Best one...." recommendations, it's why I bought a 9mil Shield.

"Panty Shield"...
I have one also and added the Hogue slip on grip thingy. Fills the hand better. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G891A using Tapatalk
