Thanks, y'all! No chance to tag it; I was at a dentist appointment and when I got home it was very set.
In a few days I'll get a pic of it in the white. There was planter there, Don, under a weirdly low strange looking porch. I'll have to dredge up some pics. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk

Yeah, it's green now, in a few days it will appear white, then fade to grey.
It looks fantastic today and I'm way busy on other house projects (electrical upgrade) but I DO need to run an errand, and the weather IS stunning, and the stuff I need to get WILL fit in the saddlebags.... Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

A Concrete Decision
Well that was a blast! Stopped by the Dealer to get a filter, discovered that the outer trans cover has a tiny leak, just enough to get on the pipe and make a stink. Picked up the gasket while there, took a pic of this bike and sent it to someone special
I also noticed a '16 FLHTCUSE and a salesman who 'sort of' knows me started yacking about it. I asked the price and got the "well, come have a seat" crap. I told him I'd be interested in the number, but forget the song-n-dance. I'm not "sitting down", just asking a question that other dealers (and this dealership's previous policy) would simply answer. He politely said that the new owners require the routine and won't reveal their prices. No problem! Says I; that's a choice they made, I respect that. I made it my choice never to deal with such establishments, but, Merry Christmas anyway! No, I'm NOT in the market, just wondering their pricing structure. Apparently, it's *arbitrary*. The two bolts at the bottom of the trans cover that hold the pipe support become loose.
Stuff leaks out...

I'm hoping I can manage to tighten them without having to pull the pipes. I really hate pulling the pipes, especially for 'little stuff'.
It probably wouldn't be a bad idea, though, to pull the cover (and the derby cover) to check the condition of the release bearing mod I previously did on the Barnett clutch.

I'm not troubled by market pricing, indeed I'm a proponent. However, I am bothered by the "hidden" pricing. The implication at one of these dealers is that each individual will be quoted different price (or could be) and the pricing of a commodity (which should be straightforward) will be fluid. This might lead to uneasiness for the consumer who is left to wonder what the price will be next week? What if I ask the other salesman? Are they each just making it up? Are they "sizing up" the customer to decide what they'll offer him? Does he leave there wondering if he'd been given a different price if he'd worn different clothes? As a matter of business practice, I think hidden pricing is a bad idea that fuels customer distrust. Why would a business chose that method? Obviously, Adam Smith is a hugely successful entity and certainly doesn't need MY advice.
None of it matters because A.) I'm not in the market; B.) If I was, I would shop prices all over the place anyway; C.) I would still give the local guy a chance to match the best offer. It's not something that's important... it's just one of the small things that informs my impression of a business. The impression that I immediately get of Adam Smith's dealerships is "SLEAZY".
