Official "I'm home from the Pokeyernoe".
Got home about 40 min. ago. Great to see everyone! Was great to see several new folks at a Pokeyernose. Ed and Jennie were a great new addition as well as some first time New Yawkas from Longuyland.
Also, there will be a name change coming for a second time attendee.

Home safe and dry.. Storms about to hit now. Packing work bag and headed to WV.
Had a great time and glad we made it after all. Damn hot coming home. Probably stopped twice as much as usual. 4 bottles of gatoraid, and a nice draft stout at the brew pub near Battlefield HD. Food was really good too. Highly recommend the pork tacos. Just dribble a few drops of the teriyaki and habanero sauce or your mouth will hate you... Good to see everyone and meet a few new participants.

If anyone tells you America's infrastructure is falling apart, tell them to bugger off. Construction and repairs the whole way down home. I took 15 instead of 270-495-95 but it didn't do any good. Couldn't they work on roads when it is 70* instead of 96*? 11 damn hours but at least I had lunch at IHOP in Leesburg, VA.
It was great seeing and drinking with everyone again. I promise I will work on bike skills some more. Or, I could trade the bike in on a Polaris Slingshot.

Not quite home. We were about an hour out and neither of us could go on anymore. Got a room and will have a short ride in the morning. Ran into a bunch of rain for about 3 hours or so. After we finally got out of the wet, we got around the Sandusky area and got into a traffic snarl that had us move 6 total miles in about 2 hours before hitting the nearest exit where everyone was being made to get off the turnpike, so it wasn't crowded at all. We are just exhausted, no sense in pushing it when neither of us need to be at the house first thing.

Made it home in under 3 hours which must be some kind of record. No traffic other then the normal stuff around the bridges getting on to Long Island.
Great seeing everyone! Captain41 |

That is why there are so many construction zones with long waits. And the bad part is this is just a bandaid repair, looks like the real thing, but nobody checks to see if the correct longer lasting materials were used.
