I had an ECB (El Cheapo Brinkiman) water / vertical smoker. It was a PITA with having to add water and charcoal to for a long smoke. plus it did not maintain temp even remotely well.

A few years back I bought a Char-Broil Kamado and haven't looked back since. Helps me make the best butts & ribs in Stafford County, VA.
