Ammo pressure rating / SAAMI pressure load ?
So... Anyhoo, I bought some ammo for my S&W 9 MM (panty) Shield.
I picked up some boxes marked 9MM NATO, got home and researched it some. I guess 9MM NATO is similar in pressure to 9MM +P, have read the "manual" and it only says Do Not Use +P+! Nothing in the manual against using NATO or +P 9MM. Should I refrain from running these rounds, save them for SHTF/ Zombie apocalypse? Stick to Luger / Parabellum loads? I don't have experience with that particular issue. I would however take the position that if the book says "Don't do this" I would suggest that you don't do this.

NATO loading = close to +P loading. Plus P.

I found an old box of "police rated" .38 special in my dad's stuff. Never heard of the brand, so I googled it and it was some loader who marketed to the police, turns out his loads were adopted later by the industry which became the current ".38 special plus P loads". Sadly I have tossed the empty box, but was interesting history.
