I've found it much safer and less time consuming just to drop the front wheel a bit. Its less than a 5 minute job,... two cap nuts on the right fork and the axle nut. Yeah the calipers should squeeze past the fender but why risk messing up the paint your fender trying to wrestle them out?

Ahh, the sound of the rear brake on my EVO.
I would fix it, but knowing my EVO, it would just start making another annoying noise. At least I know what this one is.
