I only wear the shorts/flip-flops combo around town on errands or out to eat somewhere. If I am going to be riding all day on an adventure, I suit up in the standard protective gear.

Don't the majority of accidents happen within ten miles of home.

I know that's why I try to stay gone so much of the time. One of the reasons.

There is a particular curve on the back road into Hurlburt Field. It's not a particularly hairy curve, but the suggested speed is about 35, I think. Yesterday, I saw a guy coming around it on a silver or gray wide glide with his right leg hangin' off like he was ridin' in a rally.
