I'm enjoying your riding reports. Are you enjoying it? Enough to keep it a lifestyle? Do you ever get to ride with other people or are you riding alone. Riding with others makes the miles and time fly.

Yes! I've been riding since 2006. First 3 years I was really into group rides. 50 to 100 people rides every Tuesday & Thursday. But, it was 25 miles by vehicle to get to the rides and it got old, so I began solo riding more & more. I still do a Saturday morning group ride a couple of times a month at my local Trek Store. It sux that work interferes with my riding....

I first started riding solo; but after about 2 years I began to get too busy to keep it in my routine. Found other priorities and quit riding altogether.

10 years after I quit, my 13 year old son got into bicycling. I started again. This time, we joined a local bicycling club and rode many miles together before we got serious about racing and race training. We raced and trained together through his college years. That was 27 years ago and I'm still pushing pedals with the same racing team; although I only did 2 criteriums this past year. I still train pretty hard and hope to be able to keep it up a few more years. Peer pressure is a significant factor. Health is next.
