Oil Leak solved...
So, the wife and I come back from dinner and park the bike. I go out a day or two later and find a leak where I normally park...
I think "Great, something else to fix!". Thinking this is too "clean" for engine oil, I look over the transmission and find no obvious leak. I do a little investigating and find the front end of the right frame rail drenched, with oil dripping out of a braid covered line. Turns out to be the clutch cable, wet up to the bottom of the bellows around the adjusting nut. I let out a choice expletive and go to do some leak research on Google and check the price of a new clutch cable. I finally run across a post that tells of a guy with the same problem, and after three tries with new clutch cables finds a dirt dobber nest in his transmission vent tube. Well I can find anything obviously resembling a vent line on my transmission. After assuming a posture not comfortable for a fat guy on blood pressure meds, I finally find this stub of a vent hose. Being reasonably intelligent and not perceptably impaired by barley pops. I decide not to poke any potential dirt down into the tranny, and just go to the dealer to get a tube and gasket. After getting the transmission top cover off and looking, sure enough one of those damned dirt dobbers had been out fornicating and attempted to leave me its' little bundle of joy in the remnant of my transmission vent tube. Ten bucks in parts and an hour's work have, so far, resulted in no more leaks... Living in the south, I may have to reroute all my vent tubes through some sort of filter. RED

Can you put a bit of nylon mesh over the opening? Maybe slip a o'ring over the outside to hold it on the rubber vent tube?

I just noticed the other day, my vent tube is torn off at the connection.

Didn't see any leaking, and it's already been replaced. It was a twin to the one in Red's picture.
