Intake Manifold Time Saver
The next time you remove your intake manifold and cuss the Allen cap screws on the backside that are such a pain in the backside to access; I have a suggestion. You can't access them with ball-ends or wobble jointed or any other fancy hex drivers and there's no room for standard hex bolts.
I spent about ten minutes with Dr. Emel modifying the bolts and it was probably the most satisfying little mod I've done in a while. Now, they can be run up with a 3/8" open end, saving several minutes of bad words while trying do them with a shortened Allen. Of course, you can still use the Allen for the final cinch down.

Wondering if you could use some of those 12 point dress up bolts. Would make getting that little wrench in there much easier.

Being able to use an open end wrench is better in this spot

I would have just continued to cuss...and turn them out an 1/8 of a turn at a time.

I have a small wratching box wrench that a sawed off hex bit slips inside. Tedious yes, but better than open end wrench. This wrench stays in the bike tool bag.

Intake Manifold Time Saver
The MoCo actually sells a similar tool in the Pro Race SE catalog that has the hex bit as part of the box ratchet, but even it has a ball end because there's not enough room.
If you were to try the open end, I think you'd prefer it. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk

I just looked at the pictures again.
That is one crusty looking open end wrench! I have a old chrome vanadium one that I've owned over 45 years, that isn't as salty looking...
