Apple Mania
Yesterday was the big Apple event where they unveil their up and coming devices like iPhones and watches etc. I'm impressed with the new apple watch and would consider getting it without cellular. Figure my phone is in my pocket all the time anyways. The new iPhone X is $999. I'm really not impressed. Anyone else feel the same way?

I like gizmos, so I think the new phone's cool. I'll probably upgrade over the winter.

iPhone 6S, Likely gonna stick with it.
Apparently, the iPhone 7 was Apple's Vista... so I'm fully expecting the iPhone 8 to be Apple's WIN-8 But they aren't likely to have a FREE 10 upgrade program.

DPH has the 6S, number 1 daughter has the 7 plus. I have to say that the camera on the 7 Plus is impressive. My favorite thing about Apple is the fan boys and making fun of them. When the new iPhone comes out and they implement tech that has been standard on Samsung and Motorola phones for 2 years or more, they all go gaga over it, acting like it is the best thing ever and get in line a month early for it to be released. While it was the first "smart" phone, as a tech guy, I can say it is far from the best these days...just the most followed. Enjoy your $1k phones...

Bunch of new features on the new phone such as upgraded camera (12mp) as well as tighter authentication using facial recognition. Since facial recognition is built into the phone so animated emoji's are another new feature. I can't justify upgrading to the X but I would consider going to the 8 if the price was right.

I still have my 5s, and it's still going strong. I have been waiting on this iphone x to come out. I'll pass the 5s to my kids in the spring and buy the 256gb version.
Not sure why there is an uproar over the price. My unlocked 5s cost me nearly $900 years ago and the new Samsung Galaxy Note 8 is $900 for pretty much the same phone as the X. Which is a bit more surprising since Apple has always been the Harley of computers. Slap their logo on anything and the price triples, but for Samsung to charge nearly the same price says a lot and that's for a phone who's predecessor was burning people's houses down.
