Road Glide bars

Has anyone changed out their road glide bars? Do you have to remove the ignition to get to bolts like I had to on the Electra Glide? Dad's loosened on him while riding. Dangerous! Seems whoever installed them did a piss poor job.

I don't have the bike in front of me and my google searches came up with nothing.

TIA,
Phil

Changed them to Sloptail Heritage bars on the '03 and loved 'em and the bars on the '12 CVO seem to be the same style but lower, very nice also... The guage nacelle and ign switch makes the job super easy. Even without the Jims tool, I never found pulling and reinstalling the switch a big deal...

Ok. Thanks for the heads up. I have had my switch out before. I used a cabinant makers clamp bar thingy to reach in there and unlock stuff.

Thanks! I'm calling him now. Maybe still time to save him some money. I suggested he visit an indy as I couldn't talk him through the ignition switch but if that is out of play, then he can manage on his own.
