Hot Dogs
What ?.... they still taste good.....
The National Hot Dog & Sausage Council (NHDSC) notes that hot dogs, whether regular, turkey, pork or beef, begin with "trimmings." A purposely-vague word, trimmings come in lots of shapes and sizes. According to the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO): "The raw meat materials used for precooked-cooked products are lower-grade muscle trimmings, fatty tissues, head meat, animal feet, animal skin, blood, liver and other edible slaughter by-products." Yum!

I suppose we should address what scrapple is—although doing so often serves to dissuade people who first encounter it as adults from ever trying what could be their new favorite breakfast meat.
Due to its composition, it is often jokingly described as being made from "everything but the oink". My mother-in-law would put it in a topless can and refrigerate it. After it had set up, she would cut the bottom out of the can so she could push out as thick a slice as she wanted and then pan fry it.

Was back in NJ a few weeks ago. I think I ate a whole pound of scrapple

Yeah, it was fairly quick. We were only there for a couple days. Had a wedding to go to, then spent some family time at my sisters house down the shore.
