I like this, going to order or fabricate one for my Alaska run and the Utah run this summer, I could pack all my camping gear on this and open up another saddlebag for the gear ill need for the AK run, neat idea.

I'd be concerned about the 35 lb rating. I could see that getting exceeded quickly.

The idea of the rack is to avoid a trailer, Nits cheap, cheaper to fab, and dont need tags, maint, etc. My camping gear is light but bulky, maybe 25 lbs max. Plus when at the National park campgrounds we can carry fire wood with it.

I hear ya.. I've hauled firewood inside and top of tour pack and on passenger seat.
