Well it was a bad news / good news sort of day. Seems they found a problem with the charging system while working on finishing the tune. Had to install an 07 and later stator to work with the SE compensator / rotor that came with the engine. The 06 stator won't work with this combo.
Good news: "So, on to the good news. Back on dyno and feeling VERY smooth. Charging properly and starting much better. Final touches going on front cylinder with rear cylinder still to tune. Anticipate final numbers by end of day tomorrow but I can say, so far, very happy numbers. BTW, the tach/speedo is way cool." Is it tomorrow yet??

Just as well, the '06 was crap in mine. I kept wondering if mine was one of them that could grenade, and boy did it.

So, it's a sleepless night.
I guess the 07 stator only makes since, seeing that this engine is supposedly a replacement for 07 and later bikes?

With that motor I'm thinking you'll also need to double up on the front brakes...

Have thought about that too, new rotors and better pads is the first step to the existing brakes for now.

Well the jury is in, seems like this thing might run. HP came in at 139.92 with 133.70 TQ.

Going to pick the hot rod up Friday morning. Weather is looking good for maybe a few miles on Saturday. Friday will be a long one, about 210 each way towing the trailer...

Picked the bike up yesterday, couldn't resist a few mile ride last night when I got home. Temp about 45 degrees and dodging a few rain drops so no real heavy throttle action but man this thing is a beast.
More miles today, supposed to be in the mid 50's and the sun is shinin...
