That would be a trip worth taking; we've got a lot of backcountry routes like that around here, some are only accessible two or three months out of the year depending on snowpack. A lot of fun on the right machine!

...heck, I'd be happy to take a month off and ride 'the northern route' from the east coast to the west coast-end up in Washington state...plenty of time for side trips to places of interest.
