Washed the Bike

I soaked it, I wash mitt'd it, I soaked some more, went over it twice again with the wash mitt. Rinsed and rinsed, soapy brushed the wheels, rinsed some more.


Dried it, parked it in the carport and dried it some more.


Finally waxed it, find bug guts still adhered to the faring and front of the tank!


Crap, bug guts, probably would stick to a Teflon® coated faring, with auto wash...

I follow the Wet Towel method in removing the bug guts. I soak the towel in hot water.

I do that as well this time of year. In Texas the water is plenty hot right out of the tap though

I've always used Turtle Wax Ice and seems to work well keeping the critters off the fairing/wind screen. The key is applying often which means keeping it with me in my saddle bag.
