Black River Falls Wisconsin

Both ATVs are serviced and gassed. Gear assembled. Heading out to a new area we haven't been to in the morning with our dirt riding friends. Supposed to be awesome. Weather report looks perfect for some fall riding.

Back safe and sound. Had a great time. Road on some very tasty trails. Meet some great folks and found a few nice waterin' holes.

Found one Pole. It was galvanized. Toots rejected it.

My bud managed to wedge his ATV in a water hole. We tried two wenches and two tow straps. No luck. Sunk all the way up to the seat. He rode back to get his pick-up to pull it out as we were only a few hundred yards from a county road. Trucks on the trail are strictly forbidden but... In the mean time four 20 something locals wheeled up and asked to help. They looked it over and said no problem, they never failed to unstick a ATV. Out comes a good old fashioned come-a-long. Tied one tow strap to a tree and rigged the come-a-long to the other strap tied to the ATV. They pulled from the back of the ATV and the front end started to rise up. This one guy just jumps in the water and picks the rear of the ATV up over the wedge. Out she came. Unbelievable. Some cold beers where offered up and tall tales exchanged. They wouldn't take a dime for helping. Only had the attitude of paying it forward. It was Awesome to meet some great guys like that. Hats off to the youth of Wisconsin.

note to d j: Toots unlikes galvanized poles.

Prolly prefers natural.

That is all.
