Tried something new for grip install
new to me anyway.
I had been having trouble getting the Kury ISO grips to stay put. I used windshield adhesive and that lasted for several years. The left grip worked itself loose for a second time. I had just re-shafted and re-gripped by golf clubs. I used the doubled sided tape used for golf grips. You wrap the bar with the tape and then use grip solution to soften the adhesive as you slide the grip on. Position quickly and you're set to go in a couple of hours. In a pinch, you can use mineral spirits or naphtha instead of grip solution. The tape is nothing more that 3M double sided tape in 1/2-inch width. Last edited by vafatboy; 08-16-2008 at 10:53 AM. |
