2015 RGS vs. 2016 RGU
I'm storing my bartender's bike for the winter (always take care of your bartender). He's got a denim black RGS. It looks badass, even though it's bone stock.
Got a chance to ride it today back-to-back with the BSR (stage 1). I hate the low bars, and I'm not a fan of the seat. The 1" lower rear really makes itself known on these bad roads. The air-cooled motor doesn't feel nearly as stout as the Showerhead, and the better breathing and tune really make a big difference. Since it's not my bike, I didn't go as hard as I wanted to, but the Special sure feels smaller than the Ultra. I was able to throw it around well, and with a bit of body english I avoided grinding the boards. The new cam is still a good thing, but with the lower compression it isn't as punchy. The fueling doesn't seem as good either, but that's from memory....I have the BSR dialed in really, really well. I nearly got a Special and added a TP and lowers. I'm glad I didn't. The Showerhead is a better motor and the extra inch of ride height really makes a difference.

Dealer was really trying to steer me onto a RGS or SG, both lower in the rear, told him I don't want any FL platform with a lowered suspension as I like to be able to corner.
He's all, you'll hardly notice, I called BS and walked.

The salesman also told me there have been zero issues with the, shower head, wet head, moist head, engine. Zero recalls or issues...
