There are many beautiful places up there to ride Tonya, but don't let them pics fool ya. People out there don't tan, they rust...

My cabin is on Whidbey Island, so I just ferried over to Port Townsend then rode down WA-20 to US-101 (around Discovery Bay) and over to Sequim.

Will be up there again next month. Thinking about another day trip: ferry over from Anacortes to Orcas Island then San Juan (or Shaw or Lopez) Island and back.

I'll shout out when time gets close.
We're in Whinthrop and Levanworth for the July long weekend and taken a few extra days to putz about the Cascades and to Anacortes in preparation for Sturgis. We have reservations at the Ship Harbour Inn for Sept 23-26 for the Oyster Run.....

Cheers,
Dirk

The weather is typically dryer outside (north or south of) the convergence zone. Even in the winter, you can get some really nice days in between the storms that roll in off the Pacific from the southwest. Summers are nice.

Between October and May, Seattle (which is in the convergence zone) is mostly or partly cloudy six out of every seven days. Seattle averages 71 clear (sunny) days a year, with most of those days occurring between May and September.

I grew up in Kent and my dad always had a boat and we would go crabbing, shrimping and Salmon fishing by hoods canal. Ocean shores is where we would spend easter digging clams. I do miss that.

He knows that, he is just giving you sh*t. We lived in Renton for 3 years after we got married. When the sun is out it is the most beautiful place. I miss seeing the mountains. Hopefully we will get out there with our bike sometime soon. Thanks for posting the pictures.
