I had the b's stator replaced while her motor was getting rebuilt.

Nothing wrong with the old one, but as long as it was tore down that far, what the heck.

Mine last year was also the voltage regulator.

They changed the stator first and gave it back to me. Within 30 minutes, the charging (or lack thereof) appeared again.

I took it back at closing time. They changed the regulator out on the tarmac, even though closing time passed.

No more problems since.
