Glad you're OK. The BH is on her third Grand Cherokee and won't consider anything but another Jeep when the time comes. One before this survive a good sized buck with a full rack running full tilt smack into the drivers side with only damage to the outer layer of sheet metal.

Yeah, this made me a True Believer. Imma test drive a 4-door Wrangler this Friday as well. I can get that thing with a manual transmission, and I've been itching for one for quite a while.

Russ, check out these Jeeps.. http://www.starwoodmotors.com/custom_jeeps.html

You might get some ideas if you don't want to leave it stock. The finish is super durable.

Maybe he could do durability testing for them, they could give him a new "improved" hardened one every couple of months.

Damn it..... Good to see that the Jeep did what it was engineered for!! Good to hear that the adventure left you relatively unscathed......

So if you hit the tree, the answer is yes.

But avoid the tree, and the answer is no, not comprehensive.

Just got the notice of the 9% rate hike. Still cheaper than a new car.

9% isn't that bad. RV insurance wanted to raise my rate 50% at renewal time. I went to another company and still saved from my rate last year with the old company. Oh, and we just took 6 or 7 rock chips on this west coast trip. All were injectable, NO deductible.

Just coming into Vegas 5:50 PM, SB 95, in transition lane to I 15 SB, some sucker pulls out of slow US 95 lanes, over two lanes to in front of me, l'm on brakes, ABS cycling, missed hitting dumbass, thought I was OK, then wham! Some young thing rear ends the FJ with her F150! Rear cargo door won't open, rt rear fender buckled just back of rear side door, rear glass in rear door won't latch, airbag light on, no air bags deployed.

Shoot, guess get it repaired and trade for four runner, no FJ's made anymore...

Dumbass gets away scott free.

What a coincidence.

Mine went up 9% and I had no claims.

Time to start shopping.
