Bumper removal
So yesterday I went through the arduous task of installing my shiny new "43" timer cover on the Limited. While I had the tools out, I figured I'd take the bumpers off the fenders. The back one came off with no issues at all, the front......
There are three nuts/bolts that hold the thing on. One at the front of the fender, and one on each side at the back of the bumper at the fender support. The front one came off with no worries whatsoever, the two rear ones have small pieces of metal from the fender bracket bent up around them, preventing me from getting a wrench on them. I'm pretty sure that if I jack the bike up, remove the front wheel, and get some room to play with, I can get the things off, but I'm lazy and don't want to go through all that. Anyone done it before or have any ideas? BTW, the back looks much better without the bumper.

Suggetions:
1) Hacksaw 2) Plastic Explosive 3) Sledge Hammer 4) Just spray paint em with a rattle can. Hope these help

Gotta drop the front wheel Russ. Those are safety locking tabs. Insurance to keep the fender bolts from loosening and contacting the front wheel. I removed mine about 4 years ago. But, I run with scissors too.

I'll snap a pic of the back tonight when I get home. It really looks much nicer, and it makes for far fewer nooks and crannies to clean road schween out of.

I didn't care about saving the bumpers on the front of my Ultra, I just grabbed some channel locks and ripped them outta there. Why save the ugly sum-beatches anyway. Just something else to put on the shelf till you get tired of looking at.

I'd like to see pics too... front and rear.
If I ever buy one, I'll know whether I want to remove them or not. I'm not a fan of them....
