Same here. I'm thinking some pretty small black conduit along the bag support rail and duck into the bottom of the fender and up maybe. I know I don't want it to be noticeable.

Plus, a different taillight lens. If I don't have a tag up there I don't want the tag light window shining.

That's the kick in the teeth. I've got the H-D smoked LED taillight that has the window on top for the plate light. I'm hoping that it's a separate light, so that when I put the new wire into the plug, that'll displace the old one.

More than likely, I'll end up using a piece of electrical tape to cover the damn thing.

You can use a stock Street glide lens which has no tag light at all, if you use the plate mount shown. I'm pretty sure i would drag that frame as I do occasionally drag my boards.
I just need to find some really slim LEDs that I can attach to or thru the blinker bar.

I was wondering about dragging it, but it shouldn't sit any lower than the pipe that was there.

The FLHX set up with the bullet T/S uses LED's or something under the bar to shine on the plate. The '10 FLH set up looks good if you want the huge T/S lens look.

I should have added in my pic, that the Maryland license plate is bigger that the usual motorcycle plate like other states. That's why I said I had to modify the mounting bracket.

Tin snips...

(I think the newly issued plates are finally the smaller size now)

Yes they are, but the chrome plate holder is the old size....large.
