you scan it with your phone or tablet and it loads the Doof site.

which is absolutely useless since the code is on the doof site, so you have to be on the doof site to scan the doof site to see it on your phone or tablet

well I would hope you would copy it to your computer to put on things that you wanted to use it on and not advise people to go to the site and then scan it...
