Saddlebag recommendations

Want to put detachable saddlebags on the '03 Fatboy as Mrs. RR wants to ride/drive more and will definitely do it with some good storage (this in turn will free up storage capacity on Ultra when we're both riding, so thinking win-win here).

Factors:

(1) Don't want to relocate the bullet turn signals (they're located as far rearward on the fender struts as possible);

(2) Bike does not have the stock shotgun exhaust; I replaced it with V&H straight shots, staggered.

(3) Looking for sturdy leather or synthetic leather bags with no frills, just plain.

I've started looking around the interwebs and would love to get your recommendations on saddlebags that might fit the bill - combination of reasonable price and solid quality sought.

Pic of the bike below.

Thanks in advance if you have ideas.

You get what you pay for.
The stock bags on my Heartage would leak / get soaked if in the rain long enough. Always pack in a plastic bag of some sort.
Backing plates if not a part of the bag will be needed. Check out J&P, Fog Hollow, etc.
P.S. No matter how much room you have you will fill it.

www.bossbags.com

You can probably get a taller bag from them if you have a 2 into 1, but I'm not positive about that.

Cleanest, best looking, easiest, and most stable quick release system I've seen... Put a set on my sister's bike... really like them.

Stay away from Ghost Brackets whatever you do...!!!

Based on a set of river roads I just saw today... I would pass on them. Stretched and faded after only a year.

Zipper blew out of my RR chaps in a year as well. Works for me though... I look like a rockstar now.

Find a good shoe/boot repair place and have 'em put some YKK brass zippers in for ya.
