Called my daughter in Columbus to ask if they got any bear meat. Apparently not.

I am extremely proud of the Sheriff's department there. If this had happened in L.A. there would have been a hundred thousand Glock 9mm rounds fired and numerous pissed-off dangerous animal attacks.
Obviously, in Ohio, the SO carries something more substantial.

I've stayed near there and have met the locals... I'd carry something with plenty of stopping power as well...

I call BS on the officer saying he put down some big cat with one round from his sidearm, it takes a .223 to finish off the deer up round these parts. LEO .40 is what these guys up here have.

One of the young ones the other day had to put down a deer and he used all 20 in the .223 Mag, "because it was still twitching"...

15 min from me is the largest (and supposedly best) big cat rescue facility in the US.
Went down there and toured it on Saturday. Over 200 big cats on 100+ acres.
Holy crap. Next time we have a Manure Tour, we can include it if you want.
